Good grief, so you did! And my eyes are indeed going...I made the mistake of doing a days 'real' labour yesterday to keep costs down whilst we had a 'man in' to do the roof of my workshop.

I may never walk again!

I've just remembered why I retired....I'm bl&&dy old!

Re Mr Kirk..

If you go to the review of his book on Amazon you will find:

A Fishy Tale, 23 Oct 2011
By Jules (Norfolk UK)
This review is from: A Fishy Tale: ...Missin' - Gone Fishin' (Hardcover)
I bought this book for my husband as he is a home carer and the author, Robert Kirk, his one of his service users. When he told me that one of his 'old men' had been a rear gunner and a keen fisherman and had written a book about his life - well I just had to research it and found it eventually on Amazon. It is an amazing life story of a pretty amazing man - Well done Robert! - Jules

So hopefully hanging in there.
Duffer - The man without skill of hand, without good eyesight and no longer young - the man who really ought to fish!
