SS you are a man after my own heart, Lagavulin - liquid gold, I have a rather special one, which if we ever meet up I will share a dram or two with you !

I don't drink and I'm supposed to be up early for a trip to the river but I shall raise a cup of tea and a slice of cake to BB in the morning

Only last week I was looking at the books on th'ebay that 'BB' has contributed to in some way - and some of the prices they fetch!

And on that note I must start reading his books - any recommendations where to start - not just an angling book! Thanks.

If you want a book that covers general countryside observations/thoughts etc and a bit of fishing too I would recommend "The Wayfaring Tree" a delightful read, classic BB, and you can pick up a copy from AbeBooks for around a tenner !
