I have recently purchased this Felton Crosswind reel made by Allcock. However, the reel can be clearly seen as to made in France.I know Allcock had an office in Paris but I can,t find out if they had a place where they made reels.
Can anybody help me out with this?

This has come up before. but I don't think anyone knows who actually made the reel for them. I do think the base reel is the SuperB though. I think the inventor is a Percy William Felton of Steyning in West Sussex and here is his patent, granted in 1935.

Post-war the reel was made on an Ambidex body in either half or full bail.
