Youngs Aerodex

Post by OldAngler »

Gentlemen,

Has anyone have experience of a Youngs Aerodex reel?

I believe it is a lightweight trotting reel. Am I correct?

Is it any good for trotting with fairly light floats, i.e. a goose quill carrying three or four BB shot?

Many thanks,
Old Angler

Very light and very free moving. 4 1/2" diameter too so it has good line retreive.
The spool design of a single crossbar was prone to bending if handled roughly. Great trotting reel though.

Wal.

No they have been discontinued. You can still find them occasionally on Ebay but I don't think that many were sold new so there aren't many around second hand.
