Delmatic Delight

Post by Jeremy Croxall »

I have just received a lovely Delmatic, a gift from Nice Roach.
Bren had picked up from an earlier thread that I was looking out for one and had intended to seek one out at the Redditch fair but couldn't make the trip due to family commitments.
I feel very fortunate to benefit from such a kind gesture and would like to thank Bren for thinking of me and for his generosity.
Here's to you Bren, hope I do it justice at the w/e!

That's a nice reel, the 'missing Ambidex'. I caught my first tench on one back in 1966. I bought it from money earned working a summer job at Holland's Pies.

What is your favourite word?
I suspect it could be “love”, despite its drawbacks in the rhyming department.

The generosity and friendship that this forum generates is beyond belief. What a wonderful gesture that is Jeremy. Here's hoping a 5lb chub ends up on the bank for you and your Delmatic this weekend!
