Hello everybody
It is so nice to have found this website, where so many people practice the art of proper fishing.

Re: Hello everybody
Not a lot to tell really, i very much enjoy my fishing, prefer to fish on my own but i'm far from anti-social.
Based near Heathrow. Favourite river, The Kennet though i don't get to fish it much nowadays.
I like to experiment with baits, once caught a barbel on a piece of liquorice, on a sleeper rod in the margins.
Trying the same tactic with marzipan at the moment, but no joy. Have caught a carp off the top with a malteser.
If i could catch a 3lb perch and a 2lb roach from a river i will have achieved all my angling ambitions.
Pbs-Chub 7lb 2oz-Barbel 15lb-Carp 24lb and not an hair rig used to catch any of them.

Re: Hello everybody
Welcome Macko
You are in what was my old stamping ground, having been born and grown up in Hillingdon. Plenty of good
fishing round there. There are some big perch in the Colne, I have had a two pounder and friends have had bigger. Pretty sure there would be a 3 if you targeted them. I, like you am still hunting for the magic roach

Hi Macko, another ex-Hillingdonite here.
Marzipan huh?
Originally made with ground nuts and honey I can see the carp going for that in Summer! Good idea!

Re: Hello everybody
I always found that Live System by CC Moore smell like marzipan, perhaps they have based it such.

Why not go the whole hog and include the icing and fruit.
How about Christmas cake paste?
