change of name

Post by Nigel Rainton »

Hello everyone,

Mark has kindly changed my username, Sofasurfer, to my real name. When I joined the forum I thought it was mandatory to have a username other than my own. As I spent far too much time on the sofa surfing TFF, I thought my old username would be appropriate. I now know that it is a modern term used to describe a homeless person who sleeps on friends sofas :Chuckle:

Also, as my internet presence expanded, it became confusing for me to have two identities.

Regards
Nigel

Language moves with the times and yes, now is an appropriate moment to come out from behind your friend's sofa :Chuckle:

Well done Nigel :Hat:

To make it more clear but preserving anonymity you could have had Couch Potato! :Sarcasm:

It will take some time to get used to the new name! I liked "Sofasurfer", Nigel.

Thanks guys, Couch Potato would have been a better username, particularly on days like today when the rain is thundering on the roof of my Defender as I head to the lakes :-(

Nothing like a good drop of rain on the Landy roof to keep you awake whilst driving

Good choice Nigel. Especially in such a friendly and positive environment I have never understood the choice of people not to discuss our hobby ( passion) using their real name.

Will others come across from the " Dark side"?

RBT - if only the rain would stay outside the Defender, I have to drive in wellies when it's raining, at least it washes the mud out of the footwells.

IRM - This is a safe place but it's visible to everyone via Google including Storm Troopers.
