Hello All
From Dry North Devon .
just joined , very interested in cane fly and course rod, the usual and unusual, Hardy ,B.James , Allcock ,Sharpes ,Abu , Mitchells ,vintage tackle ,
made a few nets restored a few as well, just retired ,ex auctioneer . blowing money on anything that takes my fancy ,the wife has let me have some of my own money to spend !!
Love the history of it all ,Torridge was at a time not that long ago, one of the best salmon and sea trout rivers in England along with the Taw .
hope to find like minded people down in North Devon, l know there is one l had a chat with him , was using a Hardy cane rod he had re-done
nice job too ..
anyway l'm going on, will post pictures if anyone is interested of the old Blackhorse pub where catches were shown off
and the people who caught them
cheers everyone

A hearty welcome, Sir.

Welcome to the TFF! My old boss used to make an annual pilgrimage to fish the Torridge and the Taw, it was he who got me into fly fishing. Alas no longer with us but I think of him often, he was a real character!
"Oh for want of rod and line I'd fish this stream serene, sublime".
