Don't have any... it's no longer red !!!
So it's still made then ? Probably some legislation prompted a colour change .

Welcome to the forum Martin H.

Sid is a lovely looking rod but I can totally understand why you aren't too keen to use it!

Thanks all above for the warm welcome. Having read a lot of the forum over the last week, I've decided to give 'Sid' a proper outing
on The Wye at Brewardine on the 16th June. Not too many trees to get it caught in, and a proper barbel would give it an appropriate
'christening'.
I'm sure Sid will cope admirably, let us know how it goes :Thumb:

Welcome to the forum, Martin.

I too grew up at the same time as you, fishing the Grand Union near Iver (where it overlooks Farlows and Little Britain) and anywhere else the pushbike would take me (various gravel pits near Colnbrook and West Drayton). We might have been scarpering from the same bailiffs at one time. Do the tench grow as big up north?

I think you will enjoy it here.

Wonderful to have you here with us on the forum Martin. And I'm glad to see you introducing this sport to the younger generation, good for you sir, and thank you, because we need more of that.

It sounds you have quite a bit of experience, so I wait anxiously to read your posts.

Welcome.
Worry less about who you might offend, and care more about who you might inspire.
