Good evening all
It is great to be a member of the forum, I am looking forward to being able to learn from the wealth of experience that looks to abound within the forum . I am 70 years of age and recently retired , I came to fishing quite late in life having been told to slow and calm down after some serious vascular surgery , some of my workmates took me fishing and that was it , I was hooked (no pun intended ) .
I enjoy the simple approach to angling and it was not long before I started looking at the more traditional methods and began to make my own tackle which is limited at the moment to floats , bank sticks and a fishing box . I am actively searching for a cane rod/s in local auction sites that would be suitable for refurbishment .
I look forward to talking with you all and hopefully being able to pick your brains , I may even post pictures of some of my floats once I have perfected the art a little more.
Take care
Regards

Welcome to the forum Dusty
You will find lots of friendly and helpful folk here - if you put a post in the wanted section I am sure someone will be able to help you find a suitable rod.
Cheers
Steve

A hearty welcome, Sir.
