Hello from Lancashire
Hello everyone my name is Brendan and I live in Leyland I am 48 and I returned to fishing about 12 years ago .
My main type of fishing is the river for chub and barbell my local river is the ribble . But I do like to get away for a week or so at least once a year or more . Only a couple off weeks ago I was fishing the soar for just under a week . I have also fished the rivers wye , kennet , lodon to name a few
For the last few years I have I have mainly been fishing for barbell . But that changed on my recent fishing trip to the Soar where I once again found the joys of fishing for chub on nice light well balanced tackle the bend a chub puts on a light rod is so nice
So this weekend after years of wanting one I decided to take the plunge and buy a mk1v avon witch I took out this weekend and christend in fine style with a nice brace off chub I have also just added a Mitchell 300 to my reels and cannot wait to give it ago on my new rod
I hope to have many years chat and good banter on this forum thanks for the add and pulled string and bent sticks to you all
