hiya everyone this looks like a great forum to be apart of, hope to spend many hours on here finding out about allsorts and everything

I find the ones with the pink or blue hundreds and thousands on them are pretty useless as hookbaits, but the black ones with the white stuff in the centre can be very effective at times. :tongue:

Although I wouldn't be surprised if soft liquorice made a good hook bait.......

I was watching an episode of The Fishing Adventurer a week or so ago.
That crazy bloke Cyril was spinning for pike in a Canadian lake (just a small one, about 1000 acres or so).
They found a bay where they were getting a bite every cast, so Cyril decided to try some of the liquorice his guide was chewing on - and he caught one! :ok:
