Hi from Edinburgh
Hi from Edinburgh
Hello everyone
Thought I'd join, having recently acquired a nice but neglected cane fly rod (which has since been restored.) Cane has always fascinated but terrified me since I turned a 3-piece into a 4-piece within the hour on my first-ever angling trip... a few years ago now Since then it's been fibreglass and then carbon. Well, in my dotage I decided I might as well face up to the demon. I look forward to learning from the forum about the dark art of looking after 'organic' rods.

Thanks Guys. I'm a native, albeit formerly more on the West coast than Edinburgh. (It was a relief to get away from the midges.)
