Hello All

Post by Plot36 »

Just thought I'd say a quick hello having lurked here a while. I'm not sure I really qualify as a 'traditional fisherman' owning as I do a fair bit of very modern gear, but I do find myself increasingly drawn to a simpler approach to angling and this site seems a pretty nice and friendly place to hang out. My first love is fly fishing for wild brown trout (and I am fortunate enough to own one of the fly rods Watermole has posted in the fly fishing section) but recently I've been spending a fair bit of time small river fishing for chub and perch and have a growing collection of centrepins. I haven't yet taken the plunge and acquired a cane coarse rod, but I suspect that it's only a matter of time :)

Hi Plot36 welcome aboard. Don't worry there are many of us that have a mixture of old and modern. :thumb:

A somewhat late welcome from Hampshire.

I too have plenty of modern gear - it's just going to get a little less use at times.
