A little about me.
Have been fishing now for 40 years been through the full cycle match fishing, carp fishing and then anything that will take a bait sometimes called specialist or specimen. Discovered cane and centre pin around 10 years go much to the annoyance of my wife and my bank manager.
Have been a member of Wasing estates now for 5 years as it is close to my home in Newbury Berks.
This is where I first met Martin James who taught me there is life before and after pellets now fish only with bread and sausage meat paste and my yearly catches of Barbel and Chub on any river have quadrupled. I also live very close to to Barders work shop which has made me an avid collector but I do use each rod on a regular basis.
I currently have 3 Barders, 1 John Brough, various wizards and a very good lucky strike my favourite item has to be the Witcher centre pin but I also have a number of Carters and a Chris Lythe which are also very good.
I am not sure if this is what members want to know but I think it justifies me in the traditional fisherman mould. I enjoy taking friends on to Wasing, don't like the term guiding, with a day ticket to enjoy the company and the location so if anyone is interested for the new season let me know and we will book dates early.
Anyway hope that explains a little bit more about me.
Regards to all.

Welcome to the forum. You sound as if you have an enviable collection of tackle there. Which Barder rods do you use?

Hi I have 2 Merlins and 1 Barbus, I prefer the Merlins to be honest as they have a much better feel in my opinion.

Great intro Bumble and nice kit sir. :thumb:
I've fished the wasing estate section of the Kennet with Martin a few times and love it, the Chub in my avatar is from there.
Would love to take you up on your kind offer of joining you one day. :hat:
