Hi there

Post by Frankelson »

I'm 62, still recovering from a quad heart bypass, started fishing again after a thirty year break two years ago.
I dug out my old Mitchell 300 - it works. I usually use bread flake - it works. I use 30 year old washing up bottle tops as bobbins - they work...
so I think I'm a traditionalist :-)

...er... my 30 year old umbrella had to be replaced. Disgraceful.

I'd keep it under your hat if you have a good supply of those old tops - some nostalgic carpers would cheerfully offer you money for them! I've even seem them being sold on eBay...

You're having me on right? I've only been greeted with light humour and "I used to use those" on the bank.
I have a tobacco tin full but they're a bit delicate these days and a few have broken in use. Modern ones don't work the same of course.

Thanks for the welcomes folks.
