I have spinal injuries and head injuries but still get out where I don't have to walk far learning to do different types of fishing has helped me to learn things good for my brain when it first happened I could do nothing right could not the simplest things this forum has taught me many things the members are very knowledgeable and are true gentlemen all this history would have been lost with out them would leather straps to hold the rod to your arm and a large handled reel help you to carry on fishing I know people call commercials but it's where I started again a lot of them have pegs you can drive to and park behind there is one thing for sure it's this forum kick started me again I hope it will do the same for you 4years I was behind the scenes lurking before I joined a wealth of information got my first cane rod it got very addictive after that to say the least and learnt me to use the the internet (tried to join the forum giving the wrong email address drove mark mad) :surrender: mike :Hat:

A very warm welcome to you Dave. That was a lovely introduction. I am of the age when farthings were legal tender. My, how time flies!

Hello Again,

So many thanks for all the welcomes everyone!

Now I would like to rebuild my old Allcocks rod that I mainly used, and I see that there is a section on this site specially for this make, so my next post will be there.

Cheers For Now,
Dave
