Unfortunately the Sealey will require a deal of work to it but even so it feels like a very nice rod. As I said I will put details on the Sealey thread but it certainly requires new rings and finishing as all the varnish (?) is worn off.

Welcome - £60 to get more or less fully kitted out with that decent stuff you list is pretty good - you certainly were not ripped off.

Ah yes - the Mitchell 4410 - if you throw them away they come back I hear.

Welcome aboard John :welcome:
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

Made a tactical error at the weekend. I bought Angling Times for the 1st time in about 30 years - it was like reading a foreign language!!!!!!!!!!!!
