Flycraft help

Post by LuckyLuca »

Received this today. Needs a full refurb but it's all original, complete and badged.
A Milwards flycraft 8 1/2' probably a 4 /5 weight.

Does anyone know any more about these before I decide what to do with it?

I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

I'm sure Sean M has one, might be worth a PM. Looks a nice rod too, wouldn't mind one of those myself one day... :Hat:

Thanks Scott, although it doesn't seem to be popular.

Yup, I've got one dating from 1953.

Here's the story of its rebuild:

They were built for the US market so they have a much faster action than many fly rods of the day. I really like mine.

Picked up one of these a few months ago in unused condition and have used it a couple of times. A lovely light rod to use and casts a 6/7 weight line without being overpowered.

The number 4571 looks like a serial number, not AFTM. Hard to see.
