Swimversa
I've been looking for a late version of one of these for a while and I dropped on to this one today.
Feel free to challenge this rod as I'm not precious about any of my stuff but you can probably tell that I'm smitten with this one and can't wait to use it as intended.
Whilst it may have had some use it must have been very light if at all as the original 'popper style' rod bag is only lightly soiled which could just be accumulated dust.
Looking at all the transfers they do not look as if it has had any makeover whatsoever..
As I have nothing to compare it to I'm hopeful that it is a 'sleeper' that has turned up and that it will be a useful reference for others.
I've read all the stories about what a mixed bag these were, especially the older ones which used a stepped down whole can middle section, but its hard to comprehend of these later ones as the quality is superb ..straight as an arrow and steely to hold. I'd happily use it for Chub or Tench. Heaven knows what they cost to build..Feel free to challenge this rod as I'm not precious about any of my stuff but you can probably tell that I'm smitten with this one and can't wait to use it as intended.

If it handles as immaculately as it looks, It'll be the start of a beautiful friendship. Well 'dropped on,' Lucky Sir !

Re: Swimversa
A very nice example Aquaerial, it would be very interesting to hear what you think of the rod after you've used it.
Although the Swimversa was described in an Angling times review in 1958 as 'a revolutionary rod with a wide range of efficient applications' most of the comments I've read in recent years have, as you suggested in your original post, not been complimentary and the prices realised for sales in recent years undervalue it in my view.
