pb bream

Post by Mario »

i went to my local council reservour tonight for a bit of tench fishing and cought five and half pund bream it looked massive much bigger than ive cought before and the first from that venue i then cought a nice roach which looked like it was aproaching a pound then a little later i hooked a tench but i lost it in the weed. it was lovely watching the tench roach and big carp in clear water amongst the weed close in. i even saw a kingfisher and this place is in the middle of birmingham.

What bait did you use Mazza.

Well done mazza - I know it's something of a cliché but big bream are quite different to the small ones. I also failed to get a photo of my biggest bream. I caught it in the middle of the night while tench fishing. I weighed it (very carefully), admired it, watched it idle off. Then realised I had forgotten to take a photo... No excuses - my camera was OK, its battery was fully charged. I guess mine were not!

Nice fish Mazza.

I'm with GP bigger Bream are much better than the little snotty skimmers.

I don't fish for them really but my biggest is 5lbs from the River Rhine about 19 years ago.
