Craftversa Restoration

Post by PershoreHarrier »

last year I was fortunate enough to acquire a Milwards Craftversa albeit not in the best of conditions so I asked Andrew Davis if he would restore it for me and I delivered the rod to him a few days before Christmas.

I have just collected the rod and the pictures below demonstrate the quality of the work which is of the highest order.

This will be the second rod that Andrew has restored for me the first being an Allcocks Carp / Avon which delivered a 20lb 2oz Carp at the Moat and a 5lb Chub from the Kennet.

I hope the Craftversa may encounter an obliging Tench or maybe a Crucian or two.

Splendid work, as usual ! Enjoy, Sir. :Hat:

Ooooh very nice
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

What a beauty..
That is an interesting tone of thread and as close to the original that I have seen PH. Do you know what it is please?
Thanks,
Aquaerial

Thanks,
Apologies Aquaerial you would have to ask Andrew Davis as he matched it. My brief was to restore the rod as close to the original as possible which Andrew once again achieved so wonderfully.

Lovely Keith. We'll have to get out and put a bend in that soon!
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Well done my friend glad it came out so well, not surprised given the skill that AJ has. I will look forward to a Craftversa day in the Spring.
