Forgot to ask is it similar to the senior Wallis avon?

Yes Kevin it was at Redditch on my table. The only similarity to the senior Wallis rod is its 12 ft and whole cane butt.
This is a one of rod built to Johns exact specifications,it has a very strong easy action a bit like a strong Hardy salmon rod without the wobbliness.
Quiet a tricky beast to make .Well done to John for giving it a workout with a wonderful Trent Barbel..

Another truly stunning rod created by Mr Davis and very much admired by all who saw it at Redditch. A very wise choice of specifications and a fantastic first outing. :Hat:
