Gave Carpathia a thoroughly decent christening yesterday, I'll get something together later, but here are a couple of teasers.

It may look a bit heavy going, but in order to test Carpathia properly, I needed to put her through some fairly extrame situations, obviously without going over the top.

The whole idea was to see if the extra length, and the areas where the varying amounts of power throughout the blank, make a difference to the performance. I can honestly say hand on heart that it handled the fish beautifully. This was a session catching hard fighting fish up to the low teens. Those are the carp that really pull your string. The bigger ones I will target later this summer, the big ones plod ponderously and have more staying power, but it's the smaller ones that really give you the runnaround.

Anyhow, I'm part way through writing up the events, and Johnny is part way through editing the photos. So it'll be a little while longer, but hopefully with words and pictures you guys can see how good this is.

Stu, there's 'quite a lot going on' at the point mid-way between rod rings 2 and 3 above the ferrule in the second shot. It might just be the angle of the photograph of course, nothing really tells you the curve like a sideways-on photo from about 20 feet away.

In the earlier photo the biggest curve seems to be right on the ferrule.

I think it safe to say you had your string well and truly pulled! :Hat:
