The Craftversa

Post by Loop Erimder »

The time has arrived for my Craftversa, I shall be taking a trip to Nottingham on Saturday with Miss Loop to choose our wedding rings then more importantly( :Chuckle: ), a stop off at Andrew's to pick up the Craftversa. Its been a couple of years since I waggled the first one which I think was Bumble's another waggle of another one and I had to have one for myself. When I will use it I don't know, where I don't know either but when and where will be something special, i'm very tempted to put the speedia on it and go hunt some perch............

Some photos will follow either Saturday or Sunday

Who else owns a AJD Craftversa?

Blimey! Maybe they should have serial numbers on them....10 made !!!!

In all the years of looking for one I actually waggled two; one needed a full refurb, the other wasn't for sale.

Bravo to Andrew for recreating these lovely old rods....even the ferrule is an exact copy I think...lovely. I recently discovered in old magazines that they were first offered in 1963 at the start of the new season and the company closed tackle production in 1967, so they were made for 4 years, not the 2 I had thought, nevertheless.......rare as hen's teeth!

And yes....I must have Andrew's Craftversa Number 9, which will henceforth be called " Magic Potion"...

Nice one Loop! :)

I don't own one of Andrews Craftversa's but I do own 5 other rods made by Andrew so I do know you will be getting a first class rod unmatched in build quality by any other! :Thumb:

Looking forward to seeing it Loop.

I'm interested to learn more about the 11' Carp Rod the Andrew is developing with a certain member of this forum. Business is picking up so you never know…
