WHEN IS ENOUGH GREASE ENOUGH

Post by BeechmereLake »

I have recently come across some nice reels on line which for the love of god weigh a ton, a recent couple of Abu's I had have been lets say "greased with a slingshot" take a look at the state of this early Cardinal 77 and tell me how the hell is it supposed to work in this condition :Hahaha: :Hahaha:

I actually had to prize the side cover off as the suction kept it on there. The drag was like it was in baitrunner mode period and the drag washers were destroyed :hairpull: :club:

When you consider how long it took me clean this thing it really says a lot about knowing your reel, good job the guy doesn't use ReelX it would cost him £20 a reel :Hahaha:

All done this is what it should look like

There was also the Abu 507, now that was just as hideous

When you think a light oil and a small paintbrush full of grease is required then this is a little over the top :Hide:
" It is a sinister place yet powerfully fascinating"
