Im sure it wont be long before the knees cave in and you take the plunge oh great one :Hahaha: :Hahaha:

Put them on your bucket list of things to fish with mate you wont regret it :Hat:

They say in the football world that "Form is temporary, class is permanent" you can say the same about the Cardinal 55 :Thumb:

The 77s are lovely - different but like my 55s - the ones to use!

You will need to fight all those people from the Far East online to get one, took me 4 years to get mine, its the same with the Cardinal 3's and 33's, they are mad for them, in all fairness you need deep pockets. :eyebrow:

One of the things I always like to collect is paperwork related to the reels I collect and just recently managed to get hold of these give away shop booklets covering the not only how good the 55 is but also showing prices from 1979, the second year the 55 was made.
I never understood why but an ABU CARDINAL 55 when used in extreme cold weather (when we get it) would always function normally when most other reels would just freeze up, well its got a mention in this paperwork, Just to prove the point I have also popped a picture in of me fishing an Oxfordshire gravel pit in the middle of Winter showing my reels in a -10 just after first light when even the lake froze over, had to smash the ice to get the rigs out, knew nothing about it all wrapped up in my army sleeping bag but the reels worked just fine :Thumb:
