Thank you Gents,

It was a Birthday present that I bought myself.

RBT ....groan....4 Speedia's... I can see where this is going. Plus there's a nice barbel somewhere with my name on it.

Bob, certainly hope I do. I'm now on a mission :dancing:

Troydog, some of my kit looks like it's been rejected by boot sale stall holders. When I'm fishing I have to make sure my cup is not in view otherwise people throw coins in it!

Mick, I presume that entry to the owners club is free but the ongoing cost of buying 'additional but needed' reels becomes expensive over time

Martin, would this be suitable for fishing the river in Bamberg?

I have done some research generally and didn't realise that the wide arbour version with the adjustable drag was indeed designated the Deluxe,,! Feeling quite Hyacinth Bucket at the moment. The first tangle or blank will soon sort that out :Scared: .

Thanks all for sharing :Thumb:

Very nice Neil! Welcome to the slippery slope :surrender:
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Bring your Speedia, if you're planning to go fishing in Bamberg. I hardly ever use a fixed spool reel on the river ...
Greetings from Bamberg
