They may not be the most durable reel or have the best build quality. But for a functional reel they certainly take some beating .

Nobby wrote: Wed Jul 05, 2017 11:35 am Crazy thing is we still don't know the name of the bloke who made them! I've run out of ideas of who to ask now. Great little reels, I have one here that spins for over 3 minutes, a thing I didn't think possible. I put one of MacMan's 3D printed circular arbours on it and it's just about perfect.
you say you don't know WHO too ask ,but WHO is the key ,I recently found something out ,I was watching a documentary about the WHO and Rodger daltrey , actually lived literally just around the corner (Ellingham rd ,east acton,in hamersmith) as he grew up and would of known the factory and maybe who ran it ,Rodger was trained as a metal worker ...it would be nice too ask him if he has memorys of the factory .
I try to be funny... but sometimes I merely look it! Steve

You sure that's not Roger Daltrey Nobby?

Ah, it turns out the trout farm and fishery is in Dorset and it's not clear if Roger is still that involved......
