Is this a FT Williams 'The Dorset'?

Post by Santiago »

I 've only just won it last night off eBay and it has the exact same decal as the last thread on 'The Dorset ' in this section but is complete, with the motif F T W all juxtaposed in the same space ie. overlapping. It also says Craftsman. I bought it as an early birthday present and took a gamble.

The label on closer inspection though, also says 'Made in Ind..... ' with the last letters not on view. So maybe it's just an import from India! Any ideas chaps????

Also the butt metal work is coloured green and the rod is supposedly 12'. I will take pics when it arrives.

Anyways, confirmation would be great! Otherwise I payed way too much!

I have just looked at it again -- it says "Made in ------ (next picture) under ROD --- ENG----.

I had been watching it but the close up of a really rusty ring - put me off - a full refurb. required.

Thanks Olly . I have Easter for refurbishment so that's ok. I will look at the eBay photos again. Just looked and I can't see the writing clearly on my mobile, but I'm sure you're correct. What a relief!!
