No2 Corbett steel centre rod tip ring

Hi guys I have one of these rods with a serial number H2311 which I think dates it at 1955? The rod has lined rings in what looks like white/cream agate? my problem is hat the tip ring shows several cracks in the agate and I worry that when fishing if I hook a large carp that the line might break.. does anyone know where I can get a replacement?... I am attending Redditch in May maybe be pick one up there? Any advice welcomed cheers

Does the agate have cracks or are there grooves caused by the line! I've succesfully polished an agate lining of a tip ring that was heavily worn out. I think our fellow member Old Tackle might know some tricks to save the agate.
Could you upload a few pictures of the ring?
