Laurence Richard Hardy I believe.

I have one with multiplier reel fitting and one with fixed spool fitting and I have to say that
the fixed spool position is much better balanced than the multiplier position in my opinion

Of course this is correct but before I knew anything about Hardy I used to think it was an abbreviation:

LRHLeft or Right Handed made perfect sense to me at the time!

I have a No3 with a sliding reel seat Bob. I assume the spanner in the rod bag is to tighten the fitting?

You are correct Graham.... and lucky to still have the spanner.

I was lucky aswell my Lrh2 came with the spanner and metal ferrule protector.
My Lrh3 did not
