That patent number is for the reel fitting and dates to 31/7/1922. The parents are for 16 years I believe. :holmes:
It looks quite a slim blank?
How long is the handle?
Are all the rings lined?

Nearest I can find to combine 2 piece splitcane/bamboo 9ft 6" is a LRH Spinning rod.
Never no wether their measurements include the butt button?
There are a few members with these rods on the forum so they will be able to tell you if that's what you have :Hat:

The buttcap of a LRH Spinning looks different..This rod looks more like a "Corbett" Spinning rod
to me .The ferrules are not LRH like,too...

In the reference book I have the Corbett is 9ft 3"
There is another candidate which is the Wye Spinning rod at 9ft 10"

Yes,the Corbett is a tad shorter than the LRH.Well, the Wye is a really stout rod for Salmon
(the one that I used once for big carp fishing).TC of this rod might be 2,5-3,0 lbs...yours
look lighter to me..interesting rod..

Your advice is much appreciated thanks for taking the time so far
Probably a replacement, others have makers details and production numbers.

its very similar too my Corbett spinning rod ,except yours has locking reel bands where as mine doesn't and the buttcap on mine isn't brass ,mine is 9' 3" but yours is slightly longer but yours is probably older and could be the next size up or just a similar hardy's spinning rod .mine needs a new tip rings (as I've two tops) as ones missing and the other top has had a ceramic ring fitted .mine has lined rings throughout (clear agate) and the butt ring was missing but I've got a replacement for that and one good tip ring and one with cracked agate ,but i'm still looking for another .

the Corbett looks a great perch spinning rod ,once mines refitted out ,I've a Mitchell 408 that i'll be using with mine .I think you've landed yourself a very nice spinning rod leigh ,either a Corbett model or a proceeding model but defiantly a hardy.

It's the internal guide for the spigot to slide into, it should be inside the ferrule.
