Well it turned up today and I couldn't be happier..Looks like a brand new rod and yes, I did get a purchase receipt from Hardy.

Just a little update on this rod gents..I took it out on the Gt. Ouse for it's first time out yesterday evening.
Having not looked at the rod for a while it seemed even nicer than I had remembered. In fact I'm quite certain that it had never been used.
I looked down at the pristine cork, not with second thought, but rather with the thought "You'll soon be grubby ".
Anyway, I'm happy to report that an evening trotting bread, in conjuction with a Match Aerial produced not only it's first roach but a fine conditioned 5lb 2oz chub.
The rod performed admirably.
Having not looked at the rod for a while it seemed even nicer than I had remembered. In fact I'm quite certain that it had never been used.
