It's that time of year again......

Some of the established professional sellers do this every year in the hope, I presume, of snagging an angler's wife who is stuck for Christmas present ideas, with a ridiculously over-priced auction.....

It actually works sometimes....the buyer thinking it must be special if he's asking that much for it!

He also has a Golden Scale Club rod........at a 300% mark up to the usual price of such a rod.

The price on the Milwards is a bit shocking considering it sold at mullocks for £80 plus commission on the 23/march/2013. I was going to buy it but i thought as i've got two 12 footers already why do i need another one just because it used to belong to a Golden scale club member. The inscription doesn't make it a better rod.

Never seen the appeal of trying to catch storks.
Always preferred herons personally.

Goodness me, it's been partially rewhipped and has got bent eyes and they still want £180 for it.

It beats me where they find all this stuff, I only live 30 mins away from him and I can never find any. I try all the charity shops from here to 30 miles away and still nothing....I'd love to know their secret.

God never did make a more calm, quiet, innocent recreation than angling.
