Some great restored Lucky Strikes there, just about to embark on mine after Nobby did a fantastic job with some new ferrulles, cheers mate....if mine turns out half as nice I'll be happy !

The rod obtained from WM+ is now complete. Varnished and ready to go. I just have to resist using it, and keep it safe until my dad's birthday.
My first attempt at making some stoppers. Not up to St.John's standard but serviceable. I must admit to a certain amount of cursing trying to turn the cork on the smaller of the two. This was about the 6th attempt.
You can clearly see the black staining on the middle section which I was trying to mask with the extra whipping
