chapmans 500
Well with nothing turning up locally, I've plunged into the Bay again for my latest punt.
I've gotten a 500 and to be fair the very ropey varnish job was reflected in the price ( hopes he ) and as expected
cane rods these days, come at a premium.
This is one of the better shots, so I hope you're all wishing me luck and not with a winter project rod

Well done! A fantastic rod, I|adore mine. Well worth spending time on it to get it to the standard you're happy with. I bet it will be a keeper, they are not easy to part with.
Congratulations on a fine acquisition.

Well done Sir, I nearly pressed the button right at the end. - but resisted. Great rods - I am sure you will do a spiffing job on it.

You rarely hear a bad word spoken about the 500/550 rods.

Pallenpool
I know, I hesitated as well 'the varnish' I'm hoping is fixable, even by me, if not I've local help from a master.
Cane rods never go down in price?

Well done NR. I am sure you will do a fine job and like all of us who have one, you too will treasure it.
