Burley Butt Button
Hi all, I am looking for a Dawson’s Burley Pike rod Butt button . It was missing from the rod on purchase. I think it’s a basic black one but unsure which size. Any ideas where I could source one.? I’m teaming it with a Grice and Young Sea Jecta 111 after reading that a lot of people rate them for Deadbait Piking. A Mitchell 410 will be used for fishing further out. Hope I have got it right with the rod and reel combos as I’m new to all this vintage gear but loving it Thanks in advance for any info. Regards. Steve.

Hi Hampshireboy, heres a link to Guides and Blanks for the rubber button https://www.guidesnblanks.com/p/screw_in_rubber_button
They also do the whipping thread, I think a good match for yours would be Fishhawk Garnet no 206. https://www.guidesnblanks.com/p/fishhaw ... ls_grade_a
Not sure if it would need sealing before varnishing so it would be best to do a couple of test whips one sealed and one varnished straight over.
