Earliest Chris Yates article..?

Post by Pyrethrum5 »

Fellow TFFs,

I've just come across this very early Chris Yates article in a December 1969 edition of 'Angling' magazine. The article in question is entitled "Carp on the Jigged Moth".

It made me think if he ever published anything earlier than this? I'd be interested to know if anyone else has any references.

Kind regards,

Mark

Got a feeling there's an earlier Angling article about Waveney roach, a longer version of which appeared in The Deepening Pool.

"Yates first angling article ( on roach fishing on the River Waveney in Norfolk )
was published in 1968 during the Llandrindod years."

According to John Andrews on Caught by the River here:

a good read in itself.
