Good instructional advice in the video.
It's best if the reel is turned over at the end of the cast helping prevent the line wrapping around the foot of the reel just a small point.

It's a big point on those big-river days when you're casting far enough for the "live" loop over the thumb to have been fed back, so the line is running straight off the reel, and timing the braking of the reel is critical - and difficult.
It only helps if you're not using a line guard, though!

While the loop is "live" and running, it's important to try and keep the thumb over which it is running in the same plane as the reel (or nearly so), so the line isn't tempted to spill over the side of the spool... easier with rather deep-arboured reels like the Speedia than shallow ones like the Match Aerial.

Yer Its probably the best instruction video I have seen on the Wallis cast vole.
Top job in my opinion.
