More on neonicotinoids in rivers
The Guardian has this today: https://www.theguardian.com/environment ... sts-reveal. While the reported results are from 'The first systematic testing of neonicotinoids in rivers in Britain ... mandated by EU water regulations and conducted in 2016' the reporting source isn't clear but is likely to be this press release: https://www.buglife.org.uk/news-%26-eve ... ish-rivers.

"Mandated by EU regulations" a body of which we will no longer be part of...
I wonder if the EA or other body would have carried out this survey?
I guess it would be pretty far down on the list for the government if it wasn't a legal compliance.

Worrying but it's good to hear that the Government will now support a total ban.

Neonicotinamide use is a prime example of bad science funded by the pesticide companies! Their outright ban will bring new hope for tomorrow's fisheries.

My word, someone at last is not just listening but is doing something about this, very good news indeed. More good news to come I hope. . . . . . . . . .
No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.
