Here is a small video of my River Soar, I shall be there tomorrow after the chub.
The river starts as a spring 10 minutes from my house and my village is one of the first that it flows through, then on into Leicester and out the other side, here it then flows into the River Trent not far past Kegworth.

Casually Fishing the river one day In 1950 Mr J.D Lewtin equalled the then Gudgeon record with a fish of 4oz 6dr.

Very nice indeed. I think probably the photography might have been taken using a "Drone" from the local hobby shop with a decent gimballed camera ?

Its looks like a great river. Notts Anglers have a section of the river near Kegworth which after seeing the video will have to go and check it out. I normally cycle to where I fish, but if there is somewhere safe where I can leave the car it will be ideal.
