I can make out 'golden scale' but can't read what's above or below it.
It could be their Latin motto, or perhaps a GSC members nickname?
It says The Bullet bank stick by Jason White Dorset Eng.
The others then say who they were made for but the one on the left says
Hedge Golden Scale Club Casus Ubique Valet - which is the motto of the GSC.
This would suggest to me that it belongs to Hedge who is Jason White himself.
It appears that the one on the middle is built for Stacey Weekes (tackle collector/dealer and who introduced me to traditional tackle on the banks of the Kennet 20 years ago), the one on the right is for (I think) Peter Champion (our very own Champ).

Aha, the plot thickens.
Or thinens?

I've never asked him why he is called Hedge. I think some of the nom de plumes origins have been lost in the mists of time.
I know someone whose GSC name is Marigold because he uses a bright yellow washing up glove when unhooking pike. Needless to say he doesn't like it!

Oops, I changed my post after reading your first post, so now you have answered a question that is no longer there!
Just to clarify I'd asked if it was Hedge as in 'dragged through a hedge backwards'.

Jason's GSC name Hedge come from the fact he lives near a Hedge, apparently.

I've just e-mailed the man who works next door to Jason, so perhaps we can get this bankstick back to it's owner, or at least find out who he made it for.

Maybe the forum can have a whip round for one of these to make it more acceptable! :Chuckle:

Based on that criteria almost every GSC member should be called Hedge!
