There's nothing like a old hat so here's mine

A few of us have Tarp hats Harry. Yours though is a particularly nice looking example.
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Very nice Harry.

The most precious places in the English landscape are those secretive corners,
where you find only elder trees, nettles and dreams. (BB - Denys Watkins-Pitchford).

Never seen those before, but they look great. Will need to investigate them. A nice addition to my Barmah for the future maybe?!!
Really like yours, great patina.

A fine titfer. I have a tarp hat and it is worthy of mention that no two are the same. :Hat:
The coiled line travels from the reel, it brings up at last, the hook goes home, and then begins the test of skill. "BB"

Wore mine once, got soaked as they are about as waterproof as a newspaper. Haven't worn it since.

One XL tarp hat free to a good home.

Dave... Try one of these, it's a Failsworth Drifter, they are waxed cotton and are very good...
I'm on my second, the first one is looking a tad tatty after 3 years as it was hardly ever off my head, so a new one was purchased...!

I have a couple of titfers Harry, one for the dry and one for the wet. Mind you, I need a smart one for walking the dog.

Used mine for a couple of years Dave winter and summer and it doesn't leak. It lasted a winter of roaming the rivers before the first drops seeped through, I reproofed it with Fabsil paint on and it lasted a long while before the next seep through started.

Looks like you got a bad one - I love mine. we have shared some special times.
