Which Barbour jacket do you wear?

Post by OldTackle »

Evening gents,

not knowing all of Barbour's range I wonder what type of Barbour jacket do you wear for angling or would consider best? Beaufort, Burghley, Border,...?

I use a Beaufort and like the back pocket. It could be a tad longer like the Border but I don't want to miss that huge all-purpose pocket.

What about you?

Border for me as I like the length but I also have a Northumbria.

A Bedale for me, nice and short for cycling.

Hi Chris,
I have had the Beaufort in the past but use the Border now, it is as you say a little bit longer than the Beaufort and it does have two removable and washable game pockets on the inside which are great for carrying bait or even putting a rabbit or two in.

Hello Chris my friend.
A Solway Zipper for winter (with liner), a couple of Northumbrias for walking, a Westmoreland waistcoat for summer, a Cowen Commando for work and a isdt Trials jacket for town.
I also got a Speyside jacket for my wife which I thought was a very fair swap! :huray:

My favourite? Solway!

Don't the rabbits get a bit cross Wal?

Classic Moorland. I do not like it very much, too short. But it is still going strong, so I could not really justify to replace it with another Barbour. Instead I bought a Fjällraven :Chuckle:

Best, Bobby
