Does any forum members dress like this when fishing ?

Got some interesting traditional angler's clothing you want to talk about.

this was taken at the Carpology Social a few years back... the wife made the hat... still got the outfit somewhere
Great picture! :Ok: The anti-macassar on the bedchair pillow is a nice touch. And where can I get a bivvy like that?

the Bivvy is a JRC STi (2 man) it's a twin skin, the pattern is the inner skin which is a mesh type to cut condensation... the downside is you cant use it as a single skin unles you know it going to be roasting hot... here's a pic of my tea making facilities in the bivvy... I have a full set of doylies and antimacassers somewhere in the garage, I get accused of being a tackle tart because of them... especially if folk pop by for a brew and they get offered a choice of quality teas and coffees  :Hahaha:

A bit disappointed there, Bluelabel. I did a google search for the JRC twin skin but there weren't any like yours. They're all green. Couldn't find a nice red and white one anywhere!

When I was a lad Richard Walker was the angler I and my old fishing buddy most looked up to. It was essential therefore that we each had to have a floppy hat - without it nothing would be caught. I still have that hat somewhere and this thread has inspired me to search the house for it.

Some years later after spending 2 fruitless years carp fishing at a local pool I hit the jackpot with a 21lb 4oz common carp after less than 15 minutes with free lined bread cast to the edge of the reeds. I was wearing an old green jumper and still have it to this day - it was just too much to see it thrown out. It is now threadbare and very thin but occasionally in the summer it is brought out and worn where it still has its magic powers.

Magic powers???

What, it itches so bad you can't fall asleep!
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Thought I'd bump this topic with a picture of me dressed in my tweeds.
