Morning Fellers, I wasn't really angry with Mr.Yates about all that walking around here...the dog rather lives for it!

I found out yesterday that my favourite suspect for 'that' lake is indeed an old hammer pond, Luke!

If you do ever tempt Mr.Yates out of Wiltshire, I'll bring the cake....and the milk...I'm not drinking any of that soya muck he likes!

I will be writing to him over the next few days, do you want me to ask a question on your behalf?
I'm also going to point him in the direction of this forum, but whether he ever uses the internet I've no idea.
I could include a few more questions if there are any more out there? I even wondered if he would be interested in meeting up with a few of us like minded anglers, perhaps at a pub or somewhere of his choosing. I thought I would tempt him with the promise of tea and cake. Its worth a try I guess as for me that would be the ultimate traditional day out!
Fantastic idea Luke. :)

I shall dust off my fountain pen this evening.
Are you going to share this information Nobby? Is it anywhere near me?

Any joy with the Haunted Lake, Luke ? I've just this very afternoon re-read the chapter in Casting at the Sun.

The pool is only a short walk from my home also
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

I should just add that in the interim time I have both met Chris Yates and ascertained where the 'secret lake' actually was.......right on my doorstep!

No carp in there now, I'd have seen them.
