I found the guru video on there with Dean Macey fishing for Barbel and chub at Canon Bridge. If you can look past the fact he's using modern tackle it's very watchable and the Wye is looking at it's very best. Like you said though Phil, there's very rarely the "time" and if we wanted to fish it in it's best conditions then there's always something else needing our attention. I may just put together a list of places and seeing that I don't live a million miles from the river, visit them as and when I have the time.

I wish it was fishing like that when Bob Brookes and John came to fish it but these things have a habit of happening when you've been planning a trip for a long time. If it was always easy it would take a lot of the fun out of fishing.
