I use Kamasan B525s. The size 12 is a great roach hook for flake.
Trouble is, the fish just don't read the books......

ESP Raptor hooks sizes 6,7,8, Drennan super specialist sizes 8 & 6. All micro-barbed. Unless I have to use barbless of the same.
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

I use mostly Tubertini hooks in various patterns . They're incredibly strong for the wire gauge and have never let me down .. Believe they're manufactured in Japan by Owner .. Enough said .

I've found the Dunlop barbless carp hooks to be amazing value, and I don't mind paying for a hook, it's the most important link, equal with the line, between angler and fish. These are strong, sharp, and have a curve which works really well with barbel. The downside is being seen coming out of Sprots Direct... Two quid for eight each of six sizes (4-14); sometimes seen knocked down to 99p.
Otherwise, I tend to trust Drennan/ESP, but I can't forgive them for doing away with the barbless "Team England" hooks to nylon. Now I have to actually think about which hook, and tied to what line! Outrage!

Kamasan for me, never have they let me down and the point retains its sharpness forever. Team it up with Maxima and you have the perfect quality combination. :Thumb:
