Top left porkies, then two loaded sticks based on a float I had for many years and probably fish like a lignum stick. The loading give more control for mending the line, Two ordinary balsa/cane sticks, five fat topped balsa/cane sticks – these are excellent floats and are better in more turbulent water as they don’t pull under quite so easily. The little black float was an attempt to copy a float I once had which was fatter at the bottom and slightly loaded. I couldn’t get it right. Six wire stemmed stick – the wires are too long although I’ve not cut them down. Fifteen cork-bodied quills the first ten are gull quill and the last five crow. Two fat topped floats – these were an attempt to make very buoyant stick floats for rough water – they didn’t work as I wanted.
Bottom left twelve crow quills one with an isotope held on with float rubber. Six sarkandas reed wagglers these are ok but not as good as peacock quill, four goose quill - one double ended. Eleven peacock quill wagglers some loaded - excellent floats, three peacock quill sliders based n a design used by York anglers who fish the Yorkshire Ouse. A small balsa /cane slider for small livebaits and finally four shallow fast water floats cork/cane - again excellent in the situation for which they are made.
